In a bold statement to the Press, Honorable Mark Ndingo, the Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Yatta kwa Vonza, has called on President William Ruto to extend his recent cabinet reshuffle to include the sacking of Permanent Secretaries. MCA Ndingo emphasized that this move would enable the country to have a fresh start, free from the influence of entrenched corruption.
“The President should have also sacked the Permanent Secretaries so that the country can have a fresh start,” Ndingo stated. He urged the head of state to consider appointing professionals rather than politicians to cabinet positions. This, he believes, would lead to more efficient and corruption-free governance.
Ndingo further called for the prosecution of the outgoing corrupt Cabinet Secretaries, asserting that accountability is crucial for restoring public trust in the government. “The outgoing corrupt CSs should be charged,” he added.
The MCA’s remarks come in the wake of widespread public dissatisfaction with the performance of certain government officials and increasing calls for transparency and integrity in public service.
