Former County Secretary Zakayo Kimanzi and Hon. David Mwalika Mboni joined forces at Kisasi Mixed Secondary School in Kisasi Ward to inaugurate a new dormitory and launch an initiative dedicated to supporting underprivileged students.
The new dormitory, a vital addition to the school’s infrastructure, is expected to significantly improve the living conditions and learning environment for students. This project highlights the commitment of local leaders to enhance educational facilities and opportunities for young learners in the region.
During the launch, Zakayo Kimanzi and Hon. Mwalika emphasized the importance of education and the need to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds. The newly introduced initiative, “The Life Drive,” aims to raise tuition fees and provide financial assistance to needy students, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder their academic progress.
The event was attended by members of the School Board of Management (BOM), local community leaders, and other stakeholders. Their presence underscored the community’s collective effort to uplift the educational standards and address the challenges faced by students from low-income families.
Zakayo Kimanzi expressed his gratitude for the community’s support and encouraged continued collaboration to ensure the success of the initiative. Hon. Mwalika reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for policies and programs that enhance access to quality education for all students in the ward.
The launch of the dormitory and “The Life Drive” initiative marks a significant step forward in providing a conducive learning environment and equal opportunities for students at Kisasi Mixed Secondary School.
