Principal Secretary for Livestock Development, Hon. Jonathan Mueke, on Monday inspected the ongoing works at Kitui Stadium in Ithookwe, the official venue for this year’s Mashujaa Day celebrations.
The 10,000-seater facility, which is nearing completion, has so far created employment for over 2,000 people and is expected to continue benefiting the youth through sports while boosting revenue generation for the county.
PS Mueke was accompanied by senior government officials, including Mr. Bonnie Mugambi from State House. Kitui County Minister for Sports and Youth, Madam Phoebe Mutemi, also attended the tour, reaffirming the county government’s commitment to ensuring the stadium meets national standards and remains a lasting investment for the people of Kitui.
