Deputy Speaker of the Kitui County Assembly and Kyangwithya West MCA Hon. Christopher Nzilu Nzioka on 8th July 2026 chaired the afternoon plenary session where the Assembly advanced the crucial process of shaping the Kitui County Budget Estimates for the 2026/2027 financial year.
During the sitting, Hon. Nzilu supervised the tabling of the report by the Committee on County Budget and Appropriations, marking a significant milestone in the county’s budget-making process.
The Deputy Speaker emphasized the importance of ensuring that budget allocations reflect the needs and priorities of Kitui residents, translating county plans into tangible projects and improved service delivery.
The budget process provides a framework through which resources are allocated to key sectors, including infrastructure, healthcare, water, agriculture, and other development programmes that directly impact the lives of residents.
Hon. Nzilu, who is among leaders positioning themselves for the Kitui Central parliamentary seat in the 2027 General Election, continues to build his profile through legislative leadership and oversight roles at the County Assembly.
