Kitui Governor H.E. Dr. Julius Malombe, EGH, on Friday led a development and project commissioning tour of Mutitu/Kaliku Ward, accompanied by the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Agriculture and Livestock, who is also a 2027 Kitui Senate aspirant.
During the tour, the Governor commissioned newly constructed staff quarters at Itiko Dispensary, a project expected to improve accommodation for healthcare workers and enhance the delivery of healthcare services in the area. He also officially opened a modern kitchen at Mutitu Vocational Training Centre (VTC), a facility aimed at improving the welfare of students and creating a better learning environment.
Governor Malombe further commissioned the Mutitu/Kaliku Ward Administration Office Block, which is set to strengthen local governance and bring county services closer to residents. In addition, he unveiled the Twin Market Shed at Mutitu Market, providing traders with improved business infrastructure and a more conducive trading environment.
The commissioning of the projects highlights the county government’s continued investment in healthcare, education, governance, and economic empowerment. Residents welcomed the initiatives, saying they will improve service delivery, create better opportunities for local businesses, and enhance the quality of life in Mutitu/Kaliku Ward
