Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs from Mutomo Sub-County on Thursday participated in a sensitization forum on the Government’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), aimed at strengthening the implementation of national development programmes at the grassroots level. The forum was attended by the Office of Kitui South Member of Parliament Hon. Dr. Rachael Kaki Nyamai, CBS, alongside Dr. Moses Banda, Financial Advisor in the Executive Office of the President.
The meeting focused on equipping local administrators with strategies to enhance service delivery and ensure government initiatives effectively reach communities. Discussions centered on accelerating registration under the Social Health Authority (SHA), promoting digital inclusion among young people, and improving coordination of public services across villages in Mutomo Sub-County.
Speaking during the engagement, leaders underscored the vital role played by Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs in mobilizing communities and implementing government policies. They noted that effective collaboration between national leadership and local administrators is key to realizing the objectives of the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda.
The forum concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthen grassroots governance and ensure that development programmes continue to improve the livelihoods of residents in Kitui South Constituency through efficient and inclusive service delivery.
