Students from Nguutani Secondary School on Thursday visited the National Assembly as part of an educational tour hosted by Mwingi West MP Hon. Charles Nguna. The visit gave the learners a firsthand experience of Kenya’s legislative institution and its role in governance.
During the tour, the students had an opportunity to observe how Parliament conducts its business and gain a deeper understanding of the legislative process, including how laws are debated and passed. The visit also exposed them to the responsibilities of elected leaders in representing citizens.
Hon. Charles Nguna said the educational tour was aimed at inspiring young people to understand democratic institutions and civic leadership. He noted that such visits help students appreciate how Parliament carries out the mandate entrusted to it by Kenyans while encouraging them to actively participate in shaping the country’s future.
