MUTOMO, KITUI SOUTH, July 31, 2026 – Kitui South MP Dr. Racheal Kaki Nyamai has called on residents of Kitui County to continue supporting President William Ruto, saying his administration is transforming the country through development projects and economic empowerment initiatives.
Speaking during the Development and Empowerment of Welfare Groups forum held at Mutomo Stadium on Friday, Dr. Nyamai said the Kenya Kwanza administration has prioritized development and service delivery, resulting in improved infrastructure, better access to government services, and expanded opportunities for wananchi.
She urged residents to remain united behind the President’s development agenda, noting that continued collaboration between the national government and local leaders would accelerate the implementation of projects that directly benefit communities across Kitui County.
The MP also emphasized the importance of empowering welfare groups, saying organized community groups play a critical role in driving economic growth, creating employment and improving household incomes through government support programmes.
Residents attending the event expressed their support for Dr. Nyamai, declaring that they would back her bid for a fourth term as Kitui South Member of Parliament. They also pledged to support President William Ruto for a second term, citing ongoing development projects and government programmes.
The empowerment forum attracted several national and county leaders, including Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai, Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna, Woman Representative Sen. Beth Syengo, Principal Secretary Jonathan Mueke, Commissioner Ben Muasya, Kitui County Assembly Speaker Kevin Kinengo Katisya, and other leaders.
The leaders reiterated the need for unity and sustained support for development initiatives, urging residents to work closely with both national and county governments to accelerate socio-economic transformation and improve the welfare of communities across Kitui County.
