KANGALU, KITUI CENTRAL, July 31, 2026 – Commissioner at the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) and Kitui West parliamentary hopeful Benedict Muasya has called on the people of Kitui to rally behind President William Ruto’s development agenda and embrace issue-based politics that delivers tangible benefits to wananchi.
Speaking during an Empowerment and Public Engagement Forum held at Kangalu Primary School in Mulango Ward,Kitui Central Constituency,Muasya challenged leaders and residents alike to move beyond divisive politics and focus on initiatives that uplift livelihoods, strengthen communities, and accelerate development.
He emphasized that Kenya’s future lies in visionary leadership anchored on service,accountability and practical solutions rather than endless political contests. According to Muasya,citizens deserve leaders who are committed to creating opportunities,expanding access to essential services and improving the quality of life for every household.
“Development must remain our common agenda. When leaders unite around the needs of the people, communities thrive and the nation prospers,”he noted.
The empowerment forum,hosted by Kitui Central parliamentary aspirant Boniface Musambi,brought together leaders from across the county and beyond in a show of unity and shared commitment to development.The event was chaired by Kitui South MP Dr. Rachael Kaki Nyamai.
Among those in attendance were Principal Secretary Jonathan Mueke,Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai,Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna,former Cabinet Secretary Peninah Malonza,Kitui Rural MP John Kisangau,Kitui County Assembly Speaker Kevin Kinengo Katisya, alongside other national and county leaders.
Muasya concluded by urging residents to remain united and support leaders who prioritize service delivery,inclusive growth and sustainable development,saying that meaningful transformation can only be achieved through collaboration,shared purpose and a steadfast commitment to the welfare of the people.
