Mutha Ward’s rising athletics star, Miss Purity, popularly known as the “Queen of Jump,” has struck gold in the triple jump at the ANOCA Africa Championship Games in Nairobi.

Purity delivered a remarkable performance, recording an impressive 12.66 metres to emerge as the winner and secure the gold medal. Her victory adds another major achievement to her growing sporting career and has sparked celebrations among residents of Mutha Ward and Kitui County.

The young athlete, who hails from Mathima in Mutha Ward and is a Grade 9 student at Mutomo Girls, has continued to prove her exceptional talent on the athletics stage. Her success is a source of immense pride for her school, family, community and the wider Kitui County.
