Kitui Executive for Agriculture and Livestock Dr. Stephen Mbaya Kimwele today led a stakeholder engagement meeting on the proposed rehabilitation of Ngandeni Earth Dam in Mutitu/Kaliku & Nuu Ward, aimed at sensitizing the community and gathering their views on the project.
With a capacity of 127,800 cubic metres, the dam is expected to serve more than 5,000 people from Mutito/Kaliku, Endau Malalani & Nuu Ward, and 10,000 livestock, enhancing water access for domestic and agricultural use.
The initiative is part of Governor Dr. Julius Malombe’s strategy to improve water access, promote climate-smart agriculture and strengthen food security across the county.
