Mwingi Central parliamentary aspirant CPA John Makau is steadily expanding his political footprint in the constituency, with his growing grassroots engagements positioning him as a notable contender ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Makau’s rising profile has been boosted by his association with Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Makau Malombe, whose mentorship and public confidence in the aspirant have helped raise his visibility within the constituency. The relationship has also strengthened perceptions that Makau could work closely with county leadership to advance development priorities.
His supporters are capitalising on what they describe as growing voter dissatisfaction with the current leadership, arguing that sections of residents are looking for a different style of representation.
