Kitui South, Kitui County — Lands, Housing and Urban Development Minister Fredrick Kimanga was among senior government officials accompanying Kitui Governor Dr Julius Makau Malombe during the commissioning of several development projects in Mutha Ward, Kitui South.
Governor Malombe led the delegation in commissioning projects targeting key sectors, including water, roads and healthcare, as part of the county government’s efforts to improve access to essential services and infrastructure for residents.
The projects are expected to address some of the longstanding challenges facing communities in the largely arid Kitui South area, particularly access to reliable water, better road networks and quality healthcare services.
The presence of Minister Kimanga during the tour underscored the importance of collaboration between the national and county governments in implementing development programmes aimed at improving the welfare of residents.
Governor Malombe has continued to undertake project commissioning and inspection tours across the county, highlighting the administration’s development agenda and progress in various wards.
The Mutha tour forms part of the governor’s wider programme of engaging residents directly while commissioning completed projects and assessing ongoing works across Kitui County.
