Kitui rural Mp hopeful Hon. John Kisangau has thanked residents of Mbusyani, Nguuni, Mukameni and Ung’atu for what he described as an overwhelming and humbling reception during his grassroots engagement in Kitui Rural.
Kisangau said the large turnout and the patience shown by residents gave him an opportunity to listen directly to their concerns and understand the challenges facing communities across the area.
“I came, I listened, and I have understood your issues deeply,” Kisangau said, expressing gratitude to residents for speaking openly about the issues affecting their daily lives.
He highlighted electricity access and maximisation, poor roads and opportunities for young people among the concerns raised by residents, saying the issues would form part of his agenda as he seeks to represent Kitui Rural in the 2027 General Election.
For many residents, the meetings provided an opportunity to raise local concerns directly with a prospective parliamentary candidate, particularly on infrastructure, access to electricity and economic opportunities for young people.
Kisangau said the concerns raised by residents had strengthened his motivation to continue engaging communities at the grassroots level.
“Your pain on electricity maximization, poor roads, and youth opportunities is our agenda. Your hope is my motivation,” he said.

He concluded by thanking the residents for their support and reception, signing off with his campaign message, “Mbele Pamoja,” as he positions himself for the Kitui Rural parliamentary race in 2027.
