Political and community leaders have joined residents of Kauwi in a thanksgiving celebration honouring Senior Chief Tom Munyao following his remarkable achievement of a degree in Administration while serving the community and successfully graduating.

Munyao, local leadership, community leaders, and business leaders. His decision to pursue his studies while continuing to serve the community was celebrated as an example of resilience, discipline and personal transformation.
Munyao’s journey demonstrated that professional and community responsibilities do not have to stand in the way of pursuing personal goals. The leaders used the occasion to celebrate not only Munyao’s academic milestone but also the values of perseverance, education and community service. Their participation reflected the importance of leaders standing with residents during significant moments in their lives, including achievements and thanksgiving celebrations.
Hon. Mulila’s connection with the residents outside the usual political engagement was a remarkable instance showcasing his humility and accessibility. Their presence, together with that of local leaders, reinforced the importance of community participation in recognising and encouraging individual achievement.
The thanksgiving was more than a celebration of one man’s graduation. It was a reflection of a community coming together to honour one of its own and to celebrate a story of determination that continues to inspire others.
The occasion also served as a reminder that leadership extends beyond politics. It involves being present with the people, recognising their milestones, celebrating their achievements and sharing in moments of gratitude and hope.
