Kitui West MP hopeful Benedict Muasya has joined residents of Kauwi alongside fellow leaders for a thanksgiving celebration held in honour of Senior Chief Tom Munyao following his successful graduation.
The celebration brought together community members and leaders to recognise Munyao’s remarkable journey of balancing public service with education and ultimately achieving his academic goal.
Muasya described the Senior Chief’s journey as an inspiring example of determination, discipline and perseverance, noting that his decision to return to the classroom while continuing to serve the community demonstrates that it is never too late to pursue a dream.
According to Muasya, Munyao’s achievement goes beyond a personal milestone, offering an important lesson to the wider community and the younger generation about the value of commitment and resilience.
“When one of us breaks through, the entire community has something to be proud of and the next generation has another reason to believe,” Muasya said.
He emphasised the importance of communities celebrating positive achievements among their members, rather than only coming together during difficult moments.
The thanksgiving ceremony therefore provided an opportunity for residents and leaders to celebrate Munyao’s academic success while recognising his continued service to the community.
Muasya congratulated Senior Chief Tom Munyao, whom he described as his brother and friend, wishing him continued success as he combines his academic achievement with his service to the people.

Congratulations to my brother and friend, Senior Chief Tom,” Muasya said.
