Corporate leader and CPA Nicholas Mulila on Saturday intensified his grassroots engagement across Kitui, holding a series of meetings with ward-level leaders in Mutitu Kaliku and Voo/Kyamatu as he continues to build his network ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial contest.
The meetings brought together grassroots leaders to discuss local development priorities, community concerns and the political direction of the county ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Mulila has increasingly featured in conversations around the race to succeed Governor Dr Julius Malombe, with his supporters portraying him as a leader capable of maintaining the county’s development focus while pursuing new growth opportunities.
His grassroots meetings come at a time when political leaders and residents across Kitui are beginning to assess potential candidates who could take over from Malombe when his current term ends.
