Catheter Free Foundation Launches Strategic Plan to Advance Dignity and Better Urinary Health

The Catheter Free Foundation has officially launched its Strategic Plan 2027–2030, setting the stage for renewed efforts to promote dignity, improve urinary health and reduce avoidable dependence on urinary catheters.

The launch, held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at MAA Hotel & Suites in Hurlingham, brought together supporters, partners and stakeholders to mark the beginning of a new chapter in the foundation’s mission to improve the lives of people affected by urinary health challenges.

Through its new strategic plan, the foundation aims to strengthen advocacy for catheter-free living, promote better urinary health and advance approaches that help people maintain their dignity and quality of life. The initiative highlights the importance of raising awareness, sharing knowledge and encouraging appropriate support for individuals who may be unnecessarily dependent on urinary catheters.

In a message of appreciation following the launch, the foundation’s Strategic Planning Committee member, Cynthia Maliti on behalf of Dr Joshua Matu, thanked guests, partners and supporters for their participation and encouragement, noting that their presence had added momentum to the milestone event.

Maliti said the foundation looks forward to building stronger collaborations through partnerships, advocacy, referrals and knowledge-sharing as it pursues its mission. She also encouraged individuals and organisations interested in supporting the initiative to engage with the foundation and help amplify its message.

The unveiling of the 2027–2030 Strategic Plan marks an important step in the foundation’s efforts to expand its reach and build a future where more people can access appropriate urinary healthcare, preserve their dignity and enjoy greater freedom from avoidable catheter dependency.
