IEBC Sets October 15 Deadline for Political Parties Ahead of 2027 General Election

Political parties intending to participate in Kenya’s 2027 General Election have until Thursday, October 15, 2026, to submit the names and specimen signatures of their authorized representatives to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

According to the announced election timelines, the submissions are to be made at Anniversary Towers, South Tower, 7th Floor, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

The deadline forms part of the preparations for the 2027 General Election, as political parties and other electoral stakeholders begin meeting the requirements set out by the electoral commission.

Political parties are expected to ensure that the details of their authorized persons are submitted within the stipulated period to facilitate the relevant electoral processes.

The commission has also provided timelines covering the 2027 General Election and Election Campaign Financing (ECF), outlining key dates that political parties and other stakeholders should observe.
