MP NYAMAI HOSTS HISTORIC EMPOWERMENT FORUM IN IKANGA AS LEADERS BACK RUTO’S 2027 BID

NYAMAI HOSTS OVER 5,000 PEOPLE AT IKANGA EMPOWERMENT FORUM AS LEADERS BACK RUTO’S 2027 BID

Kitui South MP Dr Racheal Nyamai hosted a major empowerment and public engagement forum at Ikanga Town, drawing more than 5,000 people and bringing together leaders from across Kitui County in a show of political unity and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 General Election.

The event attracted several prominent leaders, including Mwingi West MP Hon. Charles Nguna, nominated Senator Beth Syengo, former Cabinet Secretary Penina Malonza, Mwingi North parliamentary aspirant Martha Mati, businesswoman Madam Miriam Mwikali, Boniface Musambi, Principal Secretary Jonathan Mueke and Kitui Rural parliamentary aspirant John Kisangau Mbaki, among other leaders and local residents.

During the engagement, Dr Nyamai outlined development projects undertaken by President William Ruto’s administration in Kitui South and other constituencies across Kitui County. She highlighted the projects as part of her address to residents, focusing on the government’s development record and its impact on local communities.

The forum also provided an opportunity for leaders to engage residents on development priorities, political cooperation and the direction they want the country to take in the run-up to the next General Election.

A key message emerging from the meeting was the leaders’ expressed support for President Ruto’s re-election bid in 2027. Those who addressed the gathering reportedly agreed to work together in backing his political ambitions, signalling a shared position among the leaders present.

The large turnout transformed Ikanga Town into a major gathering point for political leaders, supporters and residents, with more than 5,000 people reported to have attended the empowerment and public engagement forum.
