The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party has nominated Kimanzi Mwendwa, popularly known as Wetco Jnr, as its candidate for the upcoming Migwani Ward MCA by-election.
Mwendwa, who holds a master’s degree, is emerging as a strong contender in the race, with support from Mwingi West MP Hon. Charles Nguna, former MCA Harrison Maluki, former MCA Kalumaita and other local leaders.
As the UDA candidate, Mwendwa is expected to benefit from the backing of the ruling party and its political networks in the area as he takes on candidates from rival parties.
The Migwani Ward by-election is shaping up to be a closely watched contest, with candidates seeking to win the confidence of voters.
