In the villages and across Kitui West,a political conversation from 2022 continues to find its way into everyday discussions. There are women who insist they stood firmly with Commissioner Ben Muasya at the ballot, who remember the conversations, the assurances and the choices they say they made, yet still wonder how the final outcome came to be what it was.
Years later, their recollections continue to stir curiosity, leaving behind a question that refuses to fade quietly into the background.
In politics, the ballot announces an outcome, but the memories of voters can keep a conversation alive long after the campaigns are over. Was it simply a case of expectations differing from the final tally or are there questions about that election that people still want answered?
Across Kitui West, the whispers linger, the memories remain and the debate continues….
Sometimes, the most enduring political stories are not the ones declared over, but the ones people are still trying to understand
