Kitui Senatorial aspirant Dr. Stephen Mbaya Kimwele on Saturday joined political leaders, supporters, and stakeholders in witnessing the unveiling of the SKM 2027 Digital Presidential Campaign Platform, a major milestone in the presidential bid of Kalonzo Musyoka.
The innovative platform, hosted on the domain stephenkalonzomusyoka.com, has been designed to transform political mobilization by integrating fundraising, volunteer recruitment, grassroots organizing, supporter engagement, and data-driven campaign management into a single digital ecosystem.
Speaking after the launch, Dr. Kimwele hailed the initiative as a significant step toward modernizing political campaigns in Kenya.
He noted that the platform reflects global best practices and is modeled on strategies that have successfully powered presidential campaigns in different parts of the world, including those of former U.S. President Barack Obama.
The digital platform has been tailored to suit Kenya’s unique political environment by incorporating mobile-powered resource mobilization, cryptocurrency donations, Visa and Mastercard payment options, WhatsApp-based organizing, county-level coordination, and diaspora engagement mechanisms.
According to the developers, the system will also provide real-time campaign intelligence, enabling campaign teams to make informed decisions, monitor supporter activity, and strengthen grassroots structures across the country. The integrated approach is expected to enhance efficiency, transparency, and participation throughout the campaign period.
Dr. Kimwele emphasized that technology will play a critical role in shaping future political campaigns, saying that digital tools offer an opportunity to connect with supporters more effectively while expanding participation among young people, professionals, and Kenyans living abroad.
The unveiling of the SKM 2027 Digital Presidential Campaign Platform marks the beginning of a new chapter in Kenya’s political landscape, with supporters expressing optimism that the technology-driven approach will strengthen engagement, improve resource mobilization, and position the campaign to reach millions of voters both locally and internationally ahead of the 2027 General Election.
