Yatta/Kwa Vonza MCA Mark Nding’o today joined fellow leaders and residents at the Multipurpose Hall in Kitui Township Ward during the commencement of public participation forums for the 2026/2027 Financial Year Budget Estimates.
The exercise is aimed at collecting views, priorities, and proposals from members of the community to guide the county government’s budget planning process. Residents are being given an opportunity to identify key development needs and recommend projects they would like included in the upcoming financial year’s budget.
Speaking during the forum, leaders emphasized the importance of public participation in ensuring that budget allocations reflect the needs and aspirations of local communities.
The county-wide public participation exercise is expected to cover all wards across Kitui County and is scheduled to be completed within the week.
The initiative forms part of efforts to enhance citizen involvement in governance and promote inclusive decision-making in development planning.
