Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai has once again criticized Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, accusing him of failing to deliver meaningful development to Mwingi North despite serving in government for many years.
Speaking after inspecting the ongoing tarmacking of the Kamuwongo–Kandwia Road, Mbai said the project demonstrates the Kenya Kwanza administration’s commitment to transforming the region through infrastructure development.
According to the MP, Mwingi North is witnessing unprecedented development under President William Ruto’s administration, contrasting it with what he described as decades of neglect.
“Mwingi North has never had development of this magnitude that is being done by President William Ruto. The Kamuwongo–Kandwia Road had been neglected for decades despite the area having had a leader serving throughout all those years,” Mbai stated.
His remarks came as UDA leaders intensified their grassroots engagement in Kitui County. On Sunday, Kitui South MP Dr. Racheal Kaki Nyamai led a UDA delegation to Mwingi North for women empowerment forums aimed at supporting local women’s groups and strengthening the party’s presence in the region.
The latest criticism adds to the ongoing political exchanges between UDA leaders and the Wiper Party as leaders position themselves ahead of the 2027 General Election.
