Kitui Wiper Nominated MCA Hon. Mbithe Mulinge has officially declared her intention to vie for the Kitui Woman Representative seat in the 2027 General Election, marking her return to active politics after a period of sabbatical leave.
Speaking exclusively to TCD DIGITAL, Hon. Mulinge said she is ready to face off with other aspirants in the Wiper Democratic Movement party nominations and expressed confidence that she will secure the party ticket.
“I am ready for the party primaries and confident that I will emerge victorious to fly the Wiper flag in the race for Kitui Woman Representative,” she said.
Hon. Mulinge has been a prominent figure in Wiper Party affairs in Kitui County and beyond, earning recognition for her vocal support of the party and its leadership. Her frontline political activism and steadfast loyalty to the opposition party have made her one of Wiper’s notable grassroots mobilizers.
During the Saba Saba protests last year, Mulinge sustained injuries while reportedly fending off an alleged phone snatcher. She later recovered and resumed her political engagements.
With her declaration, the race for the Wiper Party ticket for the Kitui Woman Representative position is expected to intensify as aspirants position themselves ahead of the party nominations.
Mulinge said she remains focused on engaging residents across the county as she seeks support for her bid to represent the women of Kitui in the National Assembly.
