Kitui gubernatorial hopeful CPA Nicholas Mulila has highlighted education as a key pillar of his development agenda, citing the transformation of Kalwilaa Comprehensive School as an example of the impact of investing in learning infrastructure.
The school has undergone significant improvements, including the construction of new classrooms, a borehole, modern ablution facilities, and a fully equipped administration block.
The new infrastructure has improved the learning environment, while access to clean water has enhanced daily school operations. The upgrades are also credited with increasing student enrollment and boosting the morale of both learners and teachers.
Supporters say the transformation has turned Kalwilaa Comprehensive School into a model institution, demonstrating how strategic investments in education can drive long-term development in Mwingi Central and across Kitui County.
The project aligns with Mulila’s vision of strengthening access to quality education as part of his broader development agenda ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial race.
