MWINGI WEST: Residents of Kasevi Sublocation in Thokoa Location are set to benefit from expanded electricity connectivity after Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna announced the rollout of new rural electrification projects across the area.
The legislator said the ongoing works will extend electricity to homesteads around the residence of Musya Kitala in Kasevi Village, as well as Kasevi Dispensary and surrounding homes, improving access to reliable power for households and public institutions.
Nguna noted that the Kasevi projects form part of a wider electrification programme across Mwingi West Constituency, with 2,118 homesteads expected to benefit from the implementation of 39 electricity projects. He added that the constituency is also replacing and repairing non-functional transformers to improve the reliability of power supply.
The MP reaffirmed his commitment to delivering development projects that directly improve the lives of residents, saying the electrification programme is aimed at boosting economic activities, enhancing healthcare services, supporting education, and improving living standards across the constituency.
The announcement underscores the ongoing efforts to expand electricity access in Mwingi West as the constituency continues to invest in infrastructure development under Nguna’s development agenda.
