Yatta Kwa Vonza MCA Hon. Mark Kitute Ndingo has joined national and county leaders for a county prayer day held at the KEFRI grounds in Kitui Town.
The event brought together Wiper leader and former Vice President Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka, Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe, Deputy Governor Augustine Wambua Kanani, Kitui Central MP Dr. Makali Mulu, Kitui Woman Representative Dr. Irene Kasalu, and other political and religious leaders.
The prayer gathering was organised by the Kitui clergy and led by Bishop Kituva alongside other bishops and church leaders. The clergy used the occasion to pray for the nation and reflect on the country’s political and socio-economic direction.
In their remarks, the bishops appealed to Kenyans to reflect on the decision to support President William Ruto in the 2022 General Election, saying that the administration had failed to meet the expectations of many Kenyans.
The leaders and clergy called for unity, prayer and responsible leadership, urging Kenyans to remain engaged in matters affecting the country’s future while seeking God’s guidance for the nation.
The county prayer day brought together leaders from different political formations, underscoring the role of the church in promoting peace, unity and dialogue as the country heads towards the 2027 General Election.
