Mutha’s “Queen of Jump” Miss Purity has won gold in the long jump at the ANOCA Africa Championship , bringing pride and celebration to Mutha Ward and Kitui County.
The young athlete, who hails from Mathima in Mutha Ward, delivered an impressive performance to secure the No. 1 position in the long jump, marking a major milestone in her promising sporting career.
Purity, popularly known as the “Queen of Jump,” is a Grade 9 student at Mutomo Girls. Her journey from a humble background to the continental stage has captured the attention of residents and sports lovers, who have continued to rally behind her exceptional talent and determination.
Her victory is also a proud moment for those who have supported her journey, including former Cabinet Secretary Penina Malonza, who has played a mentorship role in the young athlete’s development.
