Kitui South MP, Dr. Raphael Kaki Nyamai, has commended Governor Dr. Julius Makau Malombe for his extensive development work across all 40 wards in Kitui County, with a particular focus on Mutomo Ward.
Speaking at the Mashujaa Day celebrations held at Mutomo Chief’s Camp, Dr. Nyamai expressed her appreciation for the numerous projects initiated by Governor Malombe in the region. She emphasized that his efforts have brought tangible improvements to the villages, describing him as a compassionate and exemplary leader who advocates for all people.
In her address, Dr. Nyamai highlighted the governor’s prompt response to a tragic road accident in which six children lost their lives. She acknowledged Governor Malombe’s support to the grieving families, noting that he covered all burial expenses, a gesture that demonstrated his deep empathy for his constituents.
The legislator also took the opportunity to thank President William Ruto for his recent initiative to hire thousands of teachers, pointing out that Kitui South has greatly benefited from this initiative. She urged the locals to express gratitude for the positive impact of these leaders’ actions, stating that it is important to recognize and appreciate good deeds when they happen.
The Mashujaa Day event in Mutomo was attended by kitui county Commisioner Mr Kipchumba ruto, Ministers from County Government of kitui, local leaders, residents, and dignitaries, who gathered to celebrate the heroes and heroines of the region, with a special focus on the ongoing efforts to improve the lives of the people of Kitui South.
