In a display of solidarity and community spirit, Nicholas Mulila, Mp Vethi Nyenze, and Mp Charles Nguna on Sundays 12th May 2024 came together to support the Kabati parish fund drive at the Holy Family Parish in Kabati, Kitui West Constituency was a resounding success, with attendees rallying behind the cause with enthusiasm and generosity.
The fund drive, aimed at establishing the Holy Family Parochial Academy, drew support from various quarters, reflecting the widespread recognition of the importance of education and community development. Under the leadership of Mr. Mulila, Safaricom’s corporate security chief officer, and the esteemed Members of Parliament, Hon. Vethi Nyenze and Hon. Charles Nguna, the event garnered significant contributions, totaling over 11 million Kenyan Shillings.
The presence of key figures such as Mr. Fredrick Kimanga, Kitui County Executive Member for lands, and Area MCA Hon. Gabriel Munyao, further underscored the collaborative effort to uplift the community.
Dr. Vincent Munyoki, Director of the Dr. Vincent Munyoki Foundation, lent his support to the cause, highlighting the importance of partnerships in driving positive change.
Beyond the financial contributions, the event served as a reminder of the power of unity and collective action in addressing pressing societal needs. It exemplified the spirit of ubuntu – “I am because we are” – wherein individuals come together for the greater good of the community.
