MUTOMO, July 18, 2026 – Former councillors from Kitui South on Saturday paid an impromptu courtesy visit to Kitui South MP Dr. Rachael Kaki Nyamai at her rural home in Uae, Mutomo, where they declared their unwavering support for her leadership and 2027 re-election bid.
During the morning meeting, the veteran leaders praised Dr. Nyamai’s development record, saying her leadership has transformed Kitui South through major investments in infrastructure, education, water, healthcare and economic empowerment projects.
The former councillors reaffirmed their confidence in the MP’s development agenda, noting that the visible progress across the constituency had earned her the trust and backing of residents. They pledged to rally grassroots support to ensure her successful re-election in the 2027 General Election.
The leaders also reaffirmed their commitment to the Kenya Kwanza administration led by President Dr. William Ruto, saying they would continue supporting the government’s development programmes in the region.
Dr. Nyamai thanked the former councillors for their visit and continued confidence in her leadership, pledging to remain focused on delivering more development projects and improving the livelihoods of Kitui South residents.
