On 12th June, 2026 -Kitui County Deputy Governor H.E. Wambua Kanani accompanied Governor H.E. Dr. Julius Malombe, EGH, on a development tour of Waita Ward in Mwingi Central Sub-county._
Among the projects commissioned were the 45-metre Mutwangombe Drift, a 30-metre extension of Kathoka Drift, and other civil works.
In the health sector, Dr. Malombe commissioned the renovated outpatient block at Waita Health Centre and the newly equipped Maongoa Dispensary.
The tour concluded with the commissioning of the St. Paul’s Waita Senior School borehole project, which will be shared with Waita Comprehensive School. This fulfils a promise that Dr. Malombe, EGH, made to the students and residents some time ago.
With over 3,000 projects already completed and many more underway, Dr. Malombe, EGH, is racing against time to deliver these projects to the people. Some of them serve as vital lifelines for the communities they support.
