MCA Mark Nding’o Confirms Free Cervical Cancer Screening Outreach in Yatta/Kwavonza Ward

Yatta/Kwavonza Ward MCA Mark Nding’o has confirmed that a free cervical cancer screening and treatment outreach will be held at Mwakini Market on 20th and 21st July 2026. The two-day medical exercise will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., offering residents an opportunity to access lifesaving screening services at no cost.

The outreach will primarily target women of reproductive age, although members of the general public are also encouraged to attend for health education and related services. The initiative aims to promote early detection, which significantly improves treatment outcomes and helps reduce deaths caused by cervical cancer.

Speaking on the upcoming exercise, MCA Nding’o urged women in Yatta/Kwavonza Ward and neighboring areas to take advantage of the free screening, emphasizing that early detection saves lives. He encouraged residents to turn up in large numbers and prioritize their health.

The awareness campaign carries the message, “A simple screening today can save your life tomorrow,” underscoring the importance of regular cervical cancer screening as a key preventive healthcare measure.
