Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna was booed by sections of women during a public empowerment forum at Matulani in Kitui Rural after criticizing Yatta/Kwa Vonza MCA Mark Nding’o.
Nguna alleged that the MCA had been taking credit for National Government development projects. However, many women in attendance interrupted him, expressing support for Nding’o and saying they had seen him working closely with the community. They urged the MP to sit down amid loud murmurs of disapproval.
During the same event, Kitui Rural MP hopeful John Kisangau (Mbaki Mbaki), who organized the empowerment forum, criticized incumbent MP Mboni Mwalika over his leadership, vowing to unseat him in the next election for what he described as failure to adequately serve the people of Kitui Rural.
