Residents of Mbitini, Makolongo and Kivuuni in Kitui Rural are calling on area MP Hon. Mboni Mwalika to urgently facilitate the grading of the Kivuuni–Ngunga–Makolongo road, a vital link that has remained neglected for many years.
The road connects communities, businesses, farms and essential services, yet its poor condition continues to make movement difficult, in both dry season and rainy season.
The residents say that grading the road would open up the area, improve access to markets, schools and health facilities, ease transportation of farm produce and strengthen economic activity across the three areas.

They are reminding the MP that this is not just a village road—it is a key link road serving a large population.
The road’s rehabilitation would deliver an immediate and practical benefit to thousands of residents.
The message from Mbitini, Makolongo and Kivuuni to Hon. Mwalika is simple: grade the road, open up the communities and unlock their economic potential.
