Kitui Central MP aspirant Hon. Boniface Musambi on Friday led a successful empowerment and public engagement forum in Miambani Ward, where residents turned out to interact with him and discuss development priorities ahead of the 2027 General Election. The meeting provided a platform for residents to share their concerns while Musambi outlined his development agenda for the area.
During the engagement, residents expressed strong support for Musambi’s bid to represent Kitui Central Constituency in Parliament in 2027, with the aspirant saying his political journey is anchored on practical development rather than promises. He said his focus would remain on initiatives capable of improving livelihoods, expanding opportunities and addressing long-standing challenges facing residents.
Musambi highlighted the push for the issuance of title deeds to residents, describing land ownership documentation as a long-awaited milestone for families who have lived without formal ownership documents since Independence. He also cited efforts to secure a Huduma Centre in Miambani, which he said would bring essential government services closer to residents and reduce the need for people to travel long distances to access them.
The MP hopeful further pointed to his efforts to present to President William Samoei Ruto the case for upgrading the Kwa Ngindu–Museve–Miambani–Kamandio–Mwingi Road to bitumen standard. He said improved road infrastructure would enhance connectivity, ease the movement of people and goods, open up markets and accelerate economic activity across the area.
Residents at the forum also reaffirmed their support for President Ruto and his development agenda, pledging to back his administration in the coming election. Musambi said the Miambani engagement had strengthened his resolve to work closely with residents, declaring that the community had made its position known as he seeks the Kitui Central parliamentary seat in 2027.
