Nominated UDA MCA Hon. Deborah Mutuku, who is eyeing the Kitui County Women Representative seat in the 2027 General Election, joined Mwingi West MP Hon. Charles Nguna during a women empowerment and public engagement forum held at Ngongoni Chief Camp.
The forum, led by Kitui South MP Dr. Racheal Nyamai, brought together women, local leaders and UDA supporters for discussions on empowerment, development and the political future of the region. Residents also expressed their support for President William Ruto, declaring their intention to back his re-election bid.
Hon. Deborah Mutuku was accompanied by a number of MCAs and local leaders, among them Hon. Martha Makumi, popularly known as Kavilisi, who is seeking the Miambani Ward MCA seat in 2027.
The two leaders also conveyed messages from Kitui County Assembly Speaker Hon. Kevin Kinengo and PS Jonathan Mueke, urging residents to remain united and continue engaging leaders on matters affecting their communities.
The event further provided an opportunity for leaders to highlight ongoing government programmes and development initiatives while encouraging women to actively participate in leadership and economic empowerment programmes.
