Nominated Wiper MCA Hon. Martha Makumi, popularly known as Kavilisi, has joined Mwingi West MP Hon. Charles Nguna and Kitui South MP Dr. Racheal Nyamai during a women empowerment and public engagement forum held at Ngongoni Chief’s Camp in Mwingi West.
The forum, led by Dr. Racheal Nyamai, brought together women and local residents for discussions on empowerment, development and the need for stronger community participation in leadership and governance.
Kavilisi also conveyed messages from Kitui County Assembly Speaker Hon. Kevin Kinengo Katisya and PS Jonathan Mueke, emphasizing the importance of unity, empowerment and continued engagement with the people at the grassroots.The forum also took a political turn, with a section of residents expressing their support for President William Ruto, declaring “Tutam” as they pledged to back his leadership ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The gathering provided an opportunity for leaders to interact directly with residents, listen to their concerns and discuss development priorities affecting women and the wider Mwingi West community.
