CPA John Makau has joined Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka in Kyuso during the handover of a school bus to Kalonzo Musyoka Senior Secondary School.
Makau, who is eyeing the Mwingi Central parliamentary seat in the 2027 General Election, used the occasion to reaffirm his political commitment to the Wiper leader and his ambitions for the constituency. His bid for the Mwingi Central seat has been publicly reported in recent months.
Speaking during the ceremony, Makau assured Kalonzo that, if elected, he would work to address what he described as persistent insecurity and political violence in Mwingi Central.
“I will bring sanity in Mwingi Central once elected as the next MP in 2027,” Makau said.
Makau said insecurity has become a major concern in parts of Mwingi Central, arguing that the situation has the potential to undermine local business and investment. Claims that investors are leaving the area because of violence should, however, be independently verified before being treated as an established fact.
The CPA also used the occasion to urge residents to register as voters, linking the exercise to his support for Kalonzo Musyoka’s presidential ambitions in the 2027 General Election.
Makau’s appearance alongside Kalonzo comes as his campaign for the Mwingi Central parliamentary seat continues to gain visibility, with the aspirant increasingly presenting himself as a candidate focused on security, development and closer cooperation with the wider Wiper leadership.
