Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has thrown his weight behind businessman and media proprietor Alex Musomba’s bid for the Kaiti parliamentary seat in the 2027 General Election, declaring that the constituency deserves stronger leadership focused on improving services and fighting poverty.
Speaking during a meeting with Musomba at his office, Sonko said the time had come for the people of Kaiti to elect a leader capable of listening to their concerns and championing practical solutions to the challenges affecting residents.
Musomba, who runs radio and television ventures, has been conducting a “Meet the People” tour across Kaiti, where he has continued to engage residents and mobilise support for his parliamentary ambitions.
The aspiring MP has positioned himself as a grassroots leader who is accessible and closely connected to ordinary residents. His supporters describe him as a humble and down-to-earth leader who understands the challenges facing vulnerable members of society.
Sonko’s endorsement is expected to add momentum to Musomba’s 2027 campaign as the Kaiti parliamentary race begins to attract increased attention.
