Mwingi Professional Coordinator Mr. Campbell Munyambu has called on elected Wiper MPs in Ukambani to stop promoting rival political formations and instead focus on strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Speaking exclusively to TCD Digital, Munyambu claimed that some Wiper MPs in the region are openly supporting the Linda Mwananchi lobby group while remaining absent from Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s political rallies.
Munyambu termed the situation unfortunate, arguing that leaders elected on the Wiper ticket should remain loyal to the party and support Kalonzo Musyoka’s presidential ambitions. He challenged Wiper-allied leaders to rally behind Kalonzo “to the last man” and work collectively to solidify the party’s support base ahead of the 2027 elections.
He further urged Wiper leaders to emulate other political parties that are actively mobilising and strengthening their structures ahead of the polls, warning that internal divisions could weaken the party’s bargaining power and presidential bid.
