Mark Nding’o Joins Kitui Leaders in Mombasa Retreat to Review Development Journey

Yatta Kwa Vonza MCA Hon. Mark Nding’o has joined members of the Kitui County Executive and County Assembly in a joint consultative retreat in Mombasa, bringing together the two arms of the county government to take stock of Kitui’s development progress.

Held under the theme “Kitui County Transformative Journey 2022–2027,” the retreat provides a platform for leaders to reflect on the county’s development journey since 2022, review key achievements and assess the impact of programmes and projects implemented across the county.

The discussions are also focused on identifying areas where the county government needs to improve as it enters the final financial year of the current administration.

For leaders such as Hon. Nding’o, the consultative forum offers an opportunity for the Assembly and Executive to look beyond achievements and openly identify development gaps that still affect residents at the grassroots.

The retreat is further expected to strengthen coordination between the two arms of government, particularly in planning, implementation, oversight and the responsible use of public resources.

As Kitui moves towards the final stretch of the 2022–2027 administration, the leaders are expected to agree on practical actions that can accelerate development while strengthening accountability, transparency and service delivery to the people of Kitui.

For Yatta Kwa Vonza residents, the participation of their MCA in the forum comes at a time when citizens are increasingly looking for tangible results from county investments and stronger accountability in the delivery of development projects.
