Zak Syengo Escalates 2027 Mp Bid, Faults Leadership at Easter Service in Kitui East

Voo-Kyamatu ward -Hon. Zak Syengo on Sunday joined faithfuls at AIC Kyukuni in Voo-Kyamatu Ward for Easter celebrations, where he used the occasion to outline his leadership vision and formally signal his intention to vie for the Kitui East parliamentary seat in 2027. The service, presided over by Dominic Kamwilwa, brought together a large congregation of worshippers, local leaders, and guests in a show of unity during the Easter season.

Addressing the congregation, Syengo took a swipe at the current leadership in the constituency, accusing the sitting MP of poor service delivery and ineffective implementation of development programs. He criticized what he described as a culture of fear and division, warning that leaders who resort to inciting hatred and violence lack the capacity to resolve issues constructively.

Syengo emphasized the need for a new leadership approach grounded in accountability, inclusivity, and people-centered governance. He called on residents to reject divisive politics and instead embrace leaders committed to tangible development and long-term progress in Kitui East.

The aspiring MP further urged locals to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration drive, encouraging mass participation to strengthen democratic representation. He stressed that increased voter turnout would play a key role in shaping the constituencyโ€™s future leadership and development trajectory.

Among the leaders present was Hon. Dr. Makali Mulu, who is eyeing the Kitui gubernatorial seat in 2027. The host MCA for Voo-Kyamatu Ward, alongside other local leaders, echoed the call for voter registration, urging residents to mobilize and ensure as many eligible voters as possible are registered.

In his closing remarks, Syengo reaffirmed his commitment to transforming Kitui East into a model constituency through effective leadership, improved service delivery, and strategic development initiatives. He pledged to work closely with residents to address pressing challenges and unlock the regionโ€™s full potential.
