Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe on Friday commissioned the Tii Dispensary Maternity Unit in Kyuso Ward, Mwingi North Sub-county, marking a significant milestone in efforts to improve maternal and child healthcare services in the region.
The newly commissioned maternity unit is expected to enhance access to quality and safe delivery services for expectant mothers, reducing the need for residents to travel long distances in search of maternal healthcare.
Speaking during the commissioning, Governor Malombe said the county government remains committed to strengthening healthcare infrastructure and ensuring that residents have access to quality medical services closer to their homes.
The new facility will also improve healthcare service delivery at the grassroots level by providing better maternal and newborn care, contributing to improved health outcomes for families in Kyuso Ward and the surrounding areas.
