KANGALU, KITUI CENTRAL, July 31, 2026 – Kitui Rural parliamentary hopeful John Kisangau Mbaki has called on residents of Kitui County to support President William Ruto’s development agenda and embrace issue-based politics focused on improving the lives of wananchi.
Speaking during an Empowerment and Public Engagement Forum held at Kangalu Primary School in Mulango Ward, Kitui Central Constituency, Mbaki urged leaders and residents to shun divisive politics and instead prioritize development, unity, and effective service delivery.
He said Kenya’s progress depends on leaders who focus on implementing transformative development projects rather than engaging in endless political contests, noting that citizens deserve leadership that delivers tangible results and improves livelihoods.
The forum was hosted by Boniface Musambi, the Kitui Central parliamentary aspirant for the 2027 General Election, and chaired by Kitui South MP Dr. Rachael Kaki Nyamai.
The event attracted several national and county leaders, including Principal Secretary Jonathan Mueke, Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai, Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna, former Cabinet Secretary Peninah Malonza, Kitui County Assembly Speaker Kevin Kinengo Katisya, and other leaders from across the region.
Mbaki emphasized that sustainable development can only be achieved through unity, cooperation, and a shared commitment to addressing the needs of the people. He urged residents to support leaders who are committed to delivering lasting solutions in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.
He concluded by encouraging the people of Kitui to remain united and actively participate in development initiatives, saying collective effort and visionary leadership are key to accelerating progress across the county and the country.
