Kinengo Tours National Government Projects in Mutomo as Residents Endorse His 2027 Senatorial Bid

MUTOMO, KITUI SOUTH, July 31, 2026 – Kitui County Assembly Speaker and Kitui senatorial hopeful Hon. Kevin Kinengo on Saturday toured key National Government development projects in Mutomo, accompanied by Kitui South MP Dr. Rachael Kaki Nyamai, CBS, and Mutomo MCA Hon. David Masaku.

The leaders inspected the ongoing construction of the Mutomo Lands Registry and the Mutomo ESP Market, projects aimed at improving public service delivery and expanding economic opportunities in Kitui South. They noted that the developments are expected to enhance access to government services while providing a modern trading environment for local businesses.

Speaking during the tour, the leaders praised the National Government for investing in development projects across Kitui County, saying the initiatives have created employment opportunities for local residents and stimulated economic growth in the area.

Dr. Rachael Kaki Nyamai lauded President William Ruto’s administration for prioritizing infrastructure and service delivery in the region, noting that the projects demonstrate the government’s commitment to improving the livelihoods of wananchi through tangible development.

The delegation later held a public engagement forum at Mutomo Stadium, where residents discussed development priorities and called for continued collaboration between national and local leaders to accelerate the implementation of more projects in the county.

During the forum, residents publicly endorsed Hon. Kevin Kinengo’s bid for the Kitui Senate seat in the 2027 General Election, expressing confidence in his leadership and urging him to continue championing development and oversight for the county.

Hon. Kinengo thanked the residents for their support and pledged to continue working closely with leaders at all levels to advocate for more development projects, saying his focus remains on improving service delivery, creating opportunities for residents, and advancing the interests of Kitui County.
