Wiper Patriotic Front National Chairman Jamleck Kamau has said aspirants seeking the party’s ticket ahead of the 2027 General Election will have to compete in party nominations where more than one candidate expresses interest, his comments has taken Mwingi Central Mp hon Gideon Mulyungi under the bus !
Kamau maintained that no aspirant is guaranteed a direct ticket, regardless of their position or status within the party. He said competitive nominations would provide an opportunity for registered party members to determine who carries the Wiper flag in contested elective seats.
The position could affect incumbent leaders and new entrants seeking Wiper tickets, including Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi, who had reportedly expressed confidence in securing a direct nomination. The announcement signals the party leadership’s stated commitment to competitive nominations as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
