Mwingi North MP aspirant Hon. Martha Mati is among leaders currently attending a women empowerment and public engagement forum at Ngongoni Chief’s Office grounds in Ngutani Ward, Mwingi West Constituency. The forum is being led by Kitui South MP Dr. Racheal Nyamai and hosted by Mwingi West MP Hon. Charles Ngusya Nguna (CNN).
The forum has brought together women, youth, community members and political leaders for an engagement focused on empowerment, development and government programmes. The leaders are using the platform to interact directly with residents and listen to their concerns while highlighting ongoing development initiatives in the region.
In her address, Dr. Nyamai praised President William Samoei Ruto for what she described as bold and transformative decisions aimed at revamping key sectors of the economy. She highlighted the employment of teachers and the new university funding model as key interventions in education, alongside road construction and the Affordable Housing Programme in infrastructure development.
Dr. Nyamai also pointed to the rollout of Universal Health Coverage through Taifa Care and SHA, as well as subsidized fertilizer and support to farmers, saying the initiatives are aimed at improving access to healthcare, strengthening agriculture and supporting livelihoods.
The MP attended the event alongside Kitui East MP Hon. Nimrod Mbai, Senator Hon. Beth Syengo, Hon. Penina Malonza, Hon. Joe Mutambu, Hon. Martha Mati and Hon. Esther Ndile, among other leaders. The gathering continues to attract strong participation as leaders engage residents on empowerment, development and the political direction of the region.
